High-end pyroelectric detector-high-tech DLaTGS
DLaTGS-deuterated, α-alanine-doped triglycine sulfate, is the basic material of the most high-end pyroelectric detector. The detection degree of DLaTGS detector is generally 2.5 times higher than that of LiTaO3 detector, even in the high frequency region. In addition, their spectral sensitivity range is very wide, from UV to THz band, determined by the filter window added by the detector.
Due to the deuteration treatment, all hydrogen atoms are completely replaced by deuterium atoms. The Curie temperature of DLaTGS is 61°C, which is more than 10K higher than TGS. In addition, doping with α-alanine improves the sensitivity of the detector and prevents permanent depolarization when heated above the Curie temperature.
There are three series of DLaTGS pyroelectric detectors produced by LASER COMPONENTS Pyroelectric Group: LCDT-5000 series: users can use to make their own detectors; LCDT-5100 is suitable for low frequency applications in the frequency range of 10-100Hz ; LCDT-5500 series has a low-noise JFET, suitable for FTIR. All detectors have rare elements and selectable, low thermal mass characteristics to absorb the black coating, achieving a wide spectral response range at higher speeds. All pyroelectric detectors can choose different diameters of the photosensitive surface, or the photosensitive surface is rectangular and square. Standard packages include TO-5, to-66, and to-37.
