The biggest challenge for optical fibers is how to efficiently couple light into or out of the optical fiber, and the laser beam must be collimated when coupling out. In order to make this process as simple as possible, LASER COMPONENTS has developed a focusable fiber collimator, which is made in Germany.
These collimators are available in two diameters (11.5mm and 19mm). They are suitable for the following fibers: step fibers with NA = 0.22, single-mode fibers, and CO2 fibers with core diameters of 750μm or 1000μm. These collimators consist of lens systems coated with films of different wavelength ranges. The following standard wavelengths can be selected: 350-700 nm, 650-1000 nm, 1050-1060 nm, or 10.6μm. In addition, the focal length of the system can also be selected. All collimators can be equipped with different connector systems.
