Pennington, N.J. – Nov. 19, 2010 – PD-LD Inc., the worldwide leader in Volume-Bragg Grating (VBG®) technology, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded three new patents pertaining to novel developments in Volume-Bragg Grating® (VBG®) manufacturing, further cementing the company’s leading role, in this branch of laser stabilizing technology. The new patents focus on three specific areas within VBG manufacturing: alteration of characteristics (Patent No. US 7,796.673), recording structures with a target wavelength (Patent No. US 7,792,003), and manufacturing of three-dimensional VBGs (Patent No. US 7,817,888). These developments represent continued expansion of PD-LD’s broad portfolio of VBG based products, and create opportunities to further diversify VBG applications.
