SIPM is a planar array composed of mini-Geiger APD, which can respond to the spectrum from 300nm to 900nm, has a gain of up to 106 times and excellent timing performance, and can achieve single-photon level detection. In addition, SIPM is suitable for low-voltage work, has strong temperature stability, magnetic resistance and reliability, and can replace traditional photomultiplier tubes (PMT).
